The Award in Coaching and Mentoring is intended for those who are required to enhance the principles, skills and impact of coaching and mentoring and will develop expertise in coaching and mentoring for individual and team needs.

It is suitable for those prior to or in employment who wish to develop their understanding of coaching and mentoring.

The online Teacher Supported L3ACM programme is accredited by TQUK, following their Level 3 Award in Coaching and Mentoring - Qualification Specification.

This Qualification was developed in conjunction with Essential Teaching UK.

  • How long does the certificate take to process after I have completed the course?

    The certificate takes up to 10 working days to process and will be emailed to the learner and the course point of contact.

  • Will I receive a e-certificate or hard copy?

    As part of our commitment to keeping course fees as affordable as possible for our learners and partner colleges, while also supporting our sustainability goals, we have updated the way we issue certificates. From the start of this academic year, all learners will receive an e-certificate as standard. If a printed hard copy is required, this can be requested for an additional fee.

  • Do I need any prior qualifications or experience to enrol?

    No prior experience or qualifications are required.

  • How is the course assessed?

    Assessment takes place through a combination of written tasks, reflective activities, and practical evidence. Creating a Online Portfolio of Evidence. 

  • Do I need any previous experience?

    No prior qualifications are required. However, an interest in supporting others, good communication skills, and some experience of working with people will be beneficial.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Assessment is through long written questions (250-500 words per question), reflective journals, and evidence of carrying out coaching/mentoring practice with at least one individual.

  • How long does it take to complete?

    Most learners complete the Award within 8–12 weeks, depending on study pace and practice opportunities.

  • What can I do after completing this qualification?

    Many learners progress to the Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring or use the Award to enhance their role as a team leader, supervisor, trainer, or teacher. It can also be a stepping stone towards professional coaching or mentoring roles.
